Ruger zytel stock wood inserts4/6/2024 ![]() ![]() The Lite Weight model - which is the rifle I have - was among those listed but not a part of the Davidson order. This order was placed with Ruger in the early ninties at a time when Ruger offered, or at least listed, the 7.62x39 chambering for some of the M77 MkII line. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.Īll of the Davidson guns, to the best of my knowledge, were standard weight 22"" barrel, right hand, stainless, Zytel stocked with laminated wood inserts. Any information on how many were built in the Lite Weight configuration?. My questions are these Is this a ""rare"" rifle?. I have never seen a Lite Weight in this chambering, though there are many things I've never seen. I have seen a few of the M77 MkII rifles put together for Davidsons in 7.62x39 and they have all been the 22"" standard barrel version with the addition of the wood panels in the Zytel stock. ![]() He didn't save the box for it either, ""they just take up space"". The rifle appears un-fired and the fellow I got it from told me he had never fired it ""because I never got around to getting a scope for it"". I have aquired an M77 MkII Lite Weight, Stainless Steel with Zytel stock, 20"" barrel chambered in 7.62x39. I hope that one or more of you might help me with my latest addition. I've enjoyed Ruger arms for many years, mostly standard stuff but all very well made and rewarding to shoot.
